Our Beginning
How NE Clean Started
Amy-Lee founded NE Clean in 2005 and has spent more than 20 years building the company through trust, referrals, long-standing client relationships, and an unwavering attention to detail. From personally walking new client properties to setting the standards her team follows every day, Amy has remained closely connected to the people and homes NE Clean serves.
But Amy’s understanding of a busy household goes far beyond owning a cleaning company. While building NE Clean from the ground up, she also raised eight biological children - so she understands firsthand just how quickly life, work, family, and a home can become overwhelming. She knows that sometimes having an extra set of dependable hands isn’t a luxury, it’s what gives you back a little time, peace, and breathing room.
Family has always been woven into the NE Clean story. Over the years, several of Amy’s children have worked alongside the NE Clean team, learning the same values she expects from every employee: show up, be dependable, work hard, take pride in what you do, and treat every client’s home with care and respect.
That family connection can even be seen in the NE Clean brand itself. The logo you see today on the company’s shirts, hats, and vans was designed by Amy’s 14-year-old son, making a small piece of the next generation part of the company his mom has spent more than two decades building.
For Amy, NE Clean has never been simply about cleaning houses. It’s about taking something off someone else’s plate and creating a home that feels a little calmer when they walk through the door.
And that philosophy still guides NE Clean today.

Who We Are
A Family Business, Literally
NE Clean isn't a franchise and it isn't a call center. It's a family operation. Amy and Ryan encourage their children to learn the ins and outs of running a business, and the logo was designed by their 14-year-old.
They've raised them to treat this company like it's their own, because someday it might be. That mindset is exactly what we hire for: people who take ownership, notice the details nobody asked them to notice, and care how the room looks when they walk out of it.
The Standard We Clean To
Here's the question I ask my team about every room they finish:
“If you walked into this room right now, would it look like anyone had ever been in here?”
Not clean-ish. Not good enough. Untouched. No streaks on the glass. No smudges on the stainless. No vacuum lines that stop three inches short of the baseboard. The way a room looks when you walk into a beautiful bed and breakfast and it takes your breath away for a second.

Yes. New England Customized Cleaning is fully insured and bonded. Every team member also passes a criminal background check, drug testing, reference verification, and both a phone and in-person interview before entering any client property.
